We are excited that you have personally experienced the presence of God in your life and that you answered His call to share your testimony without shame (Psalms 119:46).

Our prayer is that you will continue to step out on faith and share all He has done for you!

It is important to know that your testimony is not a story, it is a personal encounter with God and gives Him praise and acknowledgment for His promises and deliverance.

A story is centered around people and places the focus mainly on individual effort (self-focused) whereas a testimony is God-focused and gives Him glory and honor for what HE has done!

A testimony will seal in your heart that God is TRUE! (John 3:33)

After living over 60 years and walking with God over 30 years, it is hard to isolate a single testimony to share of God’s goodness for all have taken me on a stairway toward faith.  With each step I experienced a greater revelation taking me closer to the heart of God. The greatest testimony was at the beginning for without this one, the others would not have taken place. God healed me in a miraculous way and rescued me from a captivity that stole 14+ years from my life.

At the pivotal age of 14 with confusion within myself and chaos within our home, I became self occupied with a focus on “thinness” which went wildly out of control and dubbed me the scientific diagnosis of anorexia nervosa”. This set the course of my life on its first wrong perception where I believed the wrong whisperer, Satan, the father of lies.  Although I was not in need of losing weight, my thoughts were preoccupied with image, food, starvation, and exercise in a pursuit of perfection and at first, the satisfaction gave me the false sense of being in control. Instead of the beautiful outward appearance I thought my efforts would produce, the opposite was the result. A gaunt, skeleton-like teenager did gain attention which was the unspoken desire amidst the chaos, but the attention was cruel and mocking driving me into further isolation. Because I began a downward spiral and became unreachable in my prison cell, desperation drove my parents to one hospital program after another to cure my disease.  This long duration of time ate up years of my youth and early 20’s where my trust and faith were put in the wrong sources – – – doctors, programs, and hospitals. All failed leaving me hopeless and near the gates of death. However God had His eye on me and during a reprieve between treatment centers, I was invited to a church other than the Catholic one of my upbringing, and I accepted. I was visited by an associate pastor the following day who shared the salvation message with me. My heart was ready to receive and I gave it to Jesus. I began a steady climb from the pit I had been in, but the healing from anorexia was so deep and I had listened to the wrong voice for so long, it took years still to experience the totality of my healing. During those years, I did not relinquish full control to Christ and in an attempt to put my life on a “normal course”, I married without seeking God and traded one dysfunction for another. However I was brought to a place of complete surrender and I had no one to cling to but Jesus.  He rescued me and continued the healing by exposing the lies I believed and replacing them with truth.

Oh the victory of a renewed mind!  Against doctors predictions because of damaged reproductive organs from the years of abuse on my body, I conceived and gave birth to my son, Joshua.  Although the marriage ended in divorce, God gave me tangible evidence of my healing. I was no longer a hopeless anorexic but a mother by God’s grace, a child of God, and a daughter of the King. All of Psalm 119 has been a tremendous comfort over the years but I have highlighted a few of the verses within this psalm that are very close to my heart.  “I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” (Psalm 119:32). “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130). “Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” (Psalm 119:165).
